We found 48 new businesses serving froyo in 20 countries in October, compared to 54 new froyo businesses in 25 countries in September. The United States had the most openings —nine —followed by Australia with six and the Philippines with five.
As for the chain with the most openings, Sour Sally opened four new branches. Llaollao opened two new branches. Myfroyoland, which is based in India, opened its first branch in Australia.
Sadly, we also found eight froyo shop closings. Two owners decided to retire. Two shops plan to move, and one shop was sold to another frozen yogurt concept.
